Nothing matches that combination right now. Try widening the price range or clearing a filter, or tell us the spec you need and we will configure it.
Under R20 000 buys a dual-processor enterprise server that would cost many times more new, with redundant power, hot-swap drives and remote management. Need more power? Browse every model in our full range of refurbished servers.
Match the server to the job first. These are sensible starting points; we can adjust memory and drives before it ships.
A single or dual Xeon E5 v3/v4 server with 32GB to 64GB of RAM and mirrored drives handles file sharing, print and domain services for a small office.
Two processors with 16 or more cores in total, 64GB to 128GB of RAM and SSDs for a handful of virtual machines on Hyper-V, Proxmox or VMware.
An older 12th Gen or Gen8 server, or any model with 3.5" bays, gives cheap capacity for Veeam repositories, test labs and learning.
A Dell PowerEdge R630 or HPE DL360 Gen9 with one or two Xeon E5 v3/v4 processors and 64GB of RAM runs file sharing, Active Directory, a few virtual machines and backup comfortably. For lots of storage, choose a model with 3.5" bays.
For labs, backup targets and light workloads, yes, at a very low price. For production virtualisation, a 13th Gen or Gen9 server is more efficient and supports newer operating systems for longer.
Rack servers are built for server rooms, so the fans are loud at start-up and under load, and 1U models are the loudest. If the server will sit near people, choose a 2U model, put it in a cupboard or comms room, or ask us about a tower.
Tell us your budget and what the server will run, and we will recommend the best spec for the money and quote it ex VAT.
