  • What the server will run: file server, domain controller, virtualisation (how many VMs), database, backup or NAS
  • Preferred brand or model, if any (Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo)
  • Processors or cores, memory and storage capacity, and SSD or hard drive
  • RAID level or HBA, network ports (1GbE, 10GbE, SFP+), rails and power

What we can configure

Processors

Single or dual CPU, from efficient Xeon E5 v4 and Silver to high-core Gold and Platinum, matched to your workload and licensing.

Memory

DDR3 or DDR4 registered ECC server memory, from 32GB to 1TB and more, populated correctly for performance.

Drives and RAID

SAS or SATA hard drives and SSDs, with a hardware RAID controller or an HBA for software-defined storage such as TrueNAS or ZFS.

Networking

Onboard 1GbE, or added 10GbE RJ45 and SFP+ cards for storage networks and virtualisation hosts.

Power and rails

Redundant power supplies, rail kits and cable management arms so the server is ready to rack.

Remote management

Dell iDRAC and HPE iLO for out-of-band management. Ask about licence levels for features such as the remote console.

What can you configure on a refurbished server?

Processors, memory, hard drives and SSDs, the RAID controller or HBA, network cards, power supplies and rail kits. We build and test the server to your spec before it ships.

How do I know what spec I need?

Tell us what the server will run (for example file sharing, Active Directory, a database, a number of virtual machines or backup storage), how many users and how much storage. We will recommend a spec and explain the trade-offs.

Do you supply servers in volume or for projects?

Yes. We supply matched servers, storage and networking for resellers, installers, IT service providers and businesses, and can quote a full rack or project.

Can I upgrade a server I already bought from you?

Yes. We sell server memory, drives, drive caddies, network cards and rail kits separately, so you can add capacity later. Send us the model and we can check which parts are compatible before you order.
